FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A lion at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo made his Super Bowl LI prediction on Thursday. It took almost five minutes of some back and forth between the Patriots and the Falcons. But Chisulo finally settled on New England.
The zoo says Chisulo has some pressure picking the Patriots – because his lady lion, Zamaya, picked the correct team last year. But she may not be thrilled that he did not choose the Falcons – because she is from Atlanta.
“We’ll see if he’s in the doghouse tonight [for picking the Patriots] – or rather the cathouse.” said Interim Lead Carnivore Keeper Heather Chance.
Several school children witnessed Chisulo’s decision, and he got a knucklebone from a cow (which was inside each of the balls with the team logos on them) for participating.
