FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – Trial began Tuesday in Fresno County Superior Court for a former janitor at Fresno Unified’s Norseman Elementary School.
Benjamin Wong is facing six misdemeanor charges of annoying or molesting any child under 18 years.
Fresno Unified put the 52 year-old on administrative leave as soon as the investigation began in May of 2015.
Wong quit his job after the allegations, and was arrested in October of 2015, after police received a complaint from a parent at Norseman Elementary, the site where the crimes allegedly took place.
Those incidents allegedly occurring from January of 2014 until May of 2015, but the Fresno Police Department says Wong’s alleged behavior dates back to 2013.
