FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — CA Attorney General Kamala Harris is joining an expansive list of agencies, investigating allegations of criminal identity theft committed by Wells Fargo.
Bank employees created millions of unauthorized accounts to achieve unrealistic goals.
The CA Justice Department is demanding that Wells Fargo hand over documents about customers, fee information, and the identities of the employees and managers who committed the unlawful acts.
The scandal has led to departure of the institution’s CEO.
