FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Donald Trump has pledged to engage in trade wars with China and Mexico.
The Republican candidate believes American workers have often been given the short end of the stick.
However, according to the Petersen Institute, imposing a 45 percent tariff on China, and a 35 percent tariff on Mexico, would likely lead to more unemployment.
A model for a such a scenario, shows the Golden State could lose 640,000 jobs if America were to begin trade wars, mostly in the private sector.
