FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The Golden State is experiencing the highest number of deaths related to opioid addictions in the country.
According to a new report from the Senate Committee on Finance, more than 90 percent of those addicted to prescription painkillers, are unable to get the treatment they need.
The bureau says while that’s an improvement over last year, significant challenges remain.
The Golden State is officially in its 6th-straight year of drought.
