Calif. Enters 6th Year of Drought

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California officially ends the 2016 water year this weekend, and enters the 6th-straight year of drought.

The Department of Water Resources says the forecast for 2017 is uncertain.

Despite more rainfall this past year, reservoirs remain at historic lows.

60 percent of the Golden State, including much of the valley, is in severe or extreme drought.
