FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The State of California has seen a 122 percent increase, in the number of hate crimes against Muslims.
That’s according to a newly-released analysis from Cal State San Bernardino, which says there were 40 anti-Muslim crimes committed last year, compared to 18 in 2014.
Researchers blame the increase on terrorist attacks committed by radicals, and political rhetoric.
Several mosques have been attacked, and a state employee was caught on video throwing coffee, at a group of Muslim men playing volleyball in a park.
