(KMJ) – The CCSPCA is having an orientation and training class for people who wish to become foster parents of the animals rescued from Noah’s Friends Animal Sanctuary in Orange Cove. Most of these animals need special care such as administering medication, socialization, and some extra TLC.
The Central California SPCA confiscated over 130 dogs and 3 cats from a Fresno County no-kill rescue organization, Noah’s Friends Animal Sanctuary in Orange Cove. Animals found on the property were suffering from a variety of medical conditions and lack of basic care. Many of the dogs are extremely emaciated and are suffering from parasites, as well as the possibility of diseases due to neglect. The living conditions were deplorable, with many of the dogs living in small crates with no food or water.
The Central California SPCA is offering two orientation classes this week: Wednesday, September 14, 2016, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 9 to 10 a.m. in our Education Center.
If you’re interested in attending an orientation, please contact our Foster Care Coordinator, Cathy, at [email protected] or by phone 559-233-7722 ext. 118. Or you can visit the CCSPA foster care webpage here: http://ccspca.com/programs-and-services/foster-care-program/
