FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Department helped raise $2800 for Special Olympics Northern California on Monday afternoon. From 11am-2pm, Sheriff’s Deputies waited on tables, serving free pulled pork sandwich lunches to those eating at Texas Roadhouse in northwest Fresno. In exchange, patrons were asked to make a donation to benefit Special Olympics.
The Sheriff’s Department does other fundraisers for the Special Olympics, that go along with the law enforcement torch run every year. For more information on those other events, head to SONC.org
