(KMJ) – The Fresno County Sheriff’s SWAT team arrest a wanted parolee after a six hour standoff in Selma.
31-year old William Adkins (pictured above) was wanted for a parole violation and was spotted Thursday morning near Shorty’s Camp It is a former motel that has been been transformed into housing for workers located at 9533 South Golden State Boulevard in Selma.
When Deputies arrived, they say Adkins took off on foot, dropping a bag which contained loose ammunition and a magazine with ammunition in it.
A search narrowed his location to a small building near Golden State and De Wolf a few hours later and that’s when the SWAT team was called to the area. After a six-hour standoff, Adkins surrendered without incident. He now faces a new charge of being a felon in possession of ammunition and could possibly face other charges.
