FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is implementing new measures, aiming to guarantee that homeowners are treated justly by mortgage lenders.
The changes include mandating that certain borrowers be given foreclosure protections more than once during the duration of their loan, and ensuring that those who inherit property, have the same protections as the initial owner.
The bureau says the rules will, hopefully, mean that vulnerable homeowners will be guarded from wrongful foreclosures.
