FRESNO (KMJ) – An email was passed on from the EPA to the California State Water Resources Control Board – about a “slightly elevated” level of lead in a patient’s urine sample.
The person is from the Northeast side of Fresno.
The City of Fresno says their officials are working closely with the County Health Department, State Water Resources Control Board and the EPA.
There is no information regarding the type of testing, the level of lead or information about the person who was tested.
The Fresno County Health Department will take action to investigate the environmental conditions that may be contributing to the reported blood lead levels.
Residents of Fresno that are concerned about their blood lead levels should consult with their doctors.
