CLOVIS, CA (KMJ) – Clovis Police investigated after several homeowners near Willow and Alluvial reported suspicious activity in the area. One homeowner said he saw a man, now identified as 46-year-old John Vann, carrying around a shotgun. Neighbors reported hearing a shotgun being fired three times. Clovis and Fresno PD surrounded the area, forming a perimeter, to search for the suspect. Vann surrendered to police without incident. He did not have a shotgun in his possession when he was arrested. As of Thursday evening, police were still searching the area for the shotgun.
