30 Handguns Stolen From Fresno Gun Shop

GUN SHOP

FRESNO (KMJ) – 30 handguns are stolen from a gun shop in Fresno.

Fresno County’s Sheriff’s Deputies believe American Firearms at 4089 North Clovis Avenue by Ashlan was robbed sometime after 6pm Monday night.

Sheriff’s Spokesperson Tony Botti says they believe the robber gained entry through the roof.

Detectives are working with members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Once Fresno Sheriff’s Office detectives collect the model and serial numbers of all stolen guns, they will enter them into the ATF computer database.

This allows law enforcement agencies across the country to track the stolen guns in case they show up for sale in the Valley or outside the state.

There is the potential for the firearms to Valley streets, and Botti says if anyone has tips or hears chatter about them – they should call Detective Tim Juarez at (559) 600-8061 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867.

All tips will remain anonymous and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
