FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Two bills aim to increase Californians’ ability to monitor the actions of the Legislature.

A proposed constitutional amendment by Democrat Lois Wolk of Davis would require that bills be posted online, in their final form, at least 72 hours prior to a vote.

Another measure by Democrat Rich Gordon of Menlo Park, would mandate that the Legislature record all floor and standing committee proceedings, and post the videos online within one business day.

The bills now go to the Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendment Committee.
