FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — A measure aiming to protect indoor workers from extreme temperatures has cleared the California Senate.

The bill calls for requiring Cal/OSHA to establish a Heat Illness and Injury Prevention Standard for those working indoors.

Currently, warehouse and factory employees have no heat regulations, and temps in non climate-controlled buildings are said to regularly rise to unsafe levels.
