(KMJ) – A Fresno woman is accused of hiding out from police and then fighting with officers after causing a hit and run accident Tuesday afternoon.
Fresno police say 30-year old Cherell Lang was drunk when she hit three vehicles near Herndon and Fruit just after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Officers say she then took off, hit an apartment building and then ran inside it and hid in a closet.
Officers then surrounded the apartment until its resident came home and unlocked the front door. Fresno Police then found Lang who they say violently resisted arrest and fought with officers.
Land was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for DUI, hit and run, and assault on a peace officer.
