FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — As California considers legalizing recreational pot use for those 21 and older, a new study from a White House-funded program says that teen drug use has increased, since Colorado relaxed its marijuana laws.

Researchers say they’re seeing increases across all age groups, but primarily among 12 to 17-year-olds, which has led to higher usage on school grounds and suspensions.

Here in California, we’re likely to have a recreational pot legalization initiative on the November ballot.
