FRESNO (KMJ) – The Governor of Florida is set to visit California, next week on a trade mission, and he is targeting the Golden State in an advertising campaign before he arrives, in an attempt to steal away business to the Sunshine State.
“Ad Script: No state income tax and Governor Scott has cut regulations.”
The ad campaign “Keep the Sunshine, Lose the Taxes will play on Los Angeles and San Francisco area radio stations before Governor Rick Scott arrives to encourages California business owners to relocate their operations to Florida.
Fresno Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Nathan Ahle commented on the campaign.
“It’s not surprising when you continue to make it harder and harder for people to do business in California these sort of things are going to happen.” -Nathan Ahle, Fresno Chamber of Commerce President & CEO.
Ad: Woman #1: Seven hundred thousand. That’s how many California jobs will be lost thanks to the politicians raising the minimum wage.
Ahle says it’s time for the lawmakers at the state capital to realize that (jobs will be lost as business relocates) and start making job creation and job retention a priority in California.
So why stay here?
“California has some of the highest skilled workforce in the world.” –Nathan Ahle, CEO, Fresno Chamber of Commerce.
