Parks Department Supervisor David Harvey Hailed As A Hero

FRESNO (KMJ) – A supervisor at the Fresno Parks Department –recognized for his work ethic at Fresno City Hall -by coincidence just became a hero

David Harvey was struck by a stray bullet while protecting the small child, after a group of men open fire at a Frank H Ball Park.

Fresno Police say it was around 2:45 Wednesday, when about 20 men from different groups – began shooting at each other on a field.

Harvey was hit in his finger – but made it to the recognition ceremony, Thursday April 22nd, at Fresno City Council, for being an outstanding employee.

Harvey has worked 35 years for the Fresno Park District.
