FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The Kingburg High School District Board is now allowing up to 5 staff members with concealed weapon permits to bring their guns on campus.
Members voted unanimously during a meeting Monday afternoon.
Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims tells KMJ, “What will happen, is I will communicate with the superintendent. He will let me know who his staff members are, and I will adjust their CCW, to show that they’ve got permission to carry on the school grounds.”
Calls have been made for armed staff in public schools, following deadly mass shootings in recent years.
