FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The Golden State is the 5th least-dependent state on the U.S. Government.

That’s according to WalletHub, who’s looked at what states send and get back from Washington.

Analysts examined several factors, including the return on taxes, and the share of federal jobs.

California ranks 39th, when it comes to its return.

The state gets back about 67 cents for every dollar that goes to the feds.
