(KMJ) Fresno – Allegations of campaign finance law violations — filed against Fresno City Council Candidate Holly Carter.

The complaint — filed with the California Fair Political Practices Commission by conservative activist Tal Cloud — claim that Carter paid her company — and made unlawful reimbursements — totaling more than $10,000.

Carter Campaign Treasurer Jerry Duncan tells KMJ News: “There’s nothing to this, it just a poor political ploy by one of our competitors. I don’t know if it’s completely settled but its certainly, everything we did was fine and allowable. Our company that did our paperwork checked with the FCC and said that everything we did was fine and allowable.”

Carter is running for the District 6 seat — against Jeremy Pearce and Garry Bredefeld.
