(KMJ) – 500 students took part in Fresno County History day, on Saturday, March 14th.

From tri-folds to websites to performances, students could choose a number of different ways to present their topic.

Students Austin and Tyler from Computech Middle School did a skit:

Austin: Our topic was Ryan White – Exploration of the Disease.

Tyler: Yeah, the theme was Exploration, Encounter and Exchange, and we chose Ryan White because it suited the topic really well.

Austin: “Well, competing it was just like a good experience, it was definitely nerve wracking but it was fun.”

The two 7th graders and the rest of their team; Emma (above far left) and Annie (left) won in their performance category.

“You have to realize that something that’s happened in the past can have a repeating pattern in the future – so if you now about something in the past – you can help raise awareness so that something bad, like the Holocaust, wont happen again.” -Rachel Mrkitch, Edison High School Student.
