FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The legal smoking age could soon become 21 in California, and vaping products could be regulated as though they’re traditional tobacco products.
The California Senate has approved two measures, one of which would make California the only state besides Hawaii, to raise the smoking age to 21.
The other bill targets e-cigarettes, which supports say amount to nothing more than a new delivery system, for nicotine and other toxins.
They now head to desk of Governor Jerry Brown, who’s not indicated whether he’ll sign them.
