FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Terminally ill Californians will be given the right to end their lives with prescription medication in 90 days.

State lawmakers have adjourned a special special session on healthcare, allowing a physician-assisted suicide law to be implemented in 3 months.

Supporters say it gives those with a terminal illness a choice, while opponents believe it could lead to premature suicides.
