(KMJ) – Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 39-year old Sam Sy of El Monte after a traffic stop late last month.
On February 26th at around 10:30 pm, a Sheriff’s deputy on patrol stopped a car for a traffic violation on Interstate 5 near West Jayne Ave. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found dozens of vacuumed sealed plastic bags containing processed marijuana. The drug find totaled 157 lbs. Sy was also found to be in possession of a large, undisclosed amount of cash. The money and drugs have been booked into evidence.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail and faces felony charges of drug possession and intent to sell drugs. Sy has since posted bond to bail out of jail.
