Study Examines Fiscal Impact Made by Undocumented Immigrants

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Almost $12 billion.

According to a new study by the Institute of Taxation and Economic Policy, that’s how much undocumented immigrants contribute each year, in state and local taxes.

The Golden State collected more than a quarter of that sum, in 2013.

During that year, there were approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants, living in the U.S.
