(KMJ) – Fresno County Sheriff’s Detectives are hoping homeowners in the eastern portion of the county can help them solve a recent kidnapping case involving a 13 year old girl.
Now, detectives are looking for surveillance video along the following roadways:
– Highway 168 to Sample Road, then north on Pittman Hill Road, onto Tollhouse Road, east on Burrough Valley Road and then onto Sycamore Road.
– Highway 168 to Tollhouse Road, to Burrough Valley Road and then onto Sycamore Road.
Investigators say there are several homes located along these routes that may be equipped with video surveillance cameras. And those could have captured footage of the roadway and suspects’ car. The Sheriff’s Department asks that these homeowners save that video, specifically any recorded this past Tuesday between 2 – 6 pm, and contact detectives immediately so they can review it.
Also, Sheriff Margaret Mims, looking to calm fears raised by this crime, says her detectives have determined that this kidnapping was not a random act, but rather that this victim and her family were specifically targeted.
It should be noted that Valley Crime Stoppers has increased its reward for information in this case to $2,000. You can reach Crime Stoppers by calling (559) 498-STOP (7867). As always, you will remain anonymous.
And here is Sheriff Mims’ News Conference discussing the developments in this case.
