(KMJ) A young man with a long history of violence and crime was shot in the face Friday by Fresno Police during a foot chase through the Tower District. FPD says 21 year old Dorian Man was armed with a handgun and threatening people in the area before officers arrived on the scene. Witnesses also said Man had been praising Satan, saying “Lucifer is my father”.
Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said, “The officer who felt his safety was being threatened at that point, as well as the residents in the area, fired one round that hit the man in the cheek area. That round went in one cheek and out the other.”
Police say Man kept fighting with officers despite his gunshot wound. After Man was eventually shackled, he was whisked to a local hospital for treatment.
