FRESNO (KMJ) — If this week’s Presidents’ Day has got you feeling all patriotic, then you might be interested in the National Anthem auditions being held by the Fresno Grizzlies.

KMJ’s Dominic McAndrew spoke with Ray Ortiz who manages the team’s events and entertainment. You can hear the full interview below:

Each person auditioning will be required to sing at least 30 seconds of a song of their choice; the Star Spangled Banner does not have to be performed. Musicians who want to play the anthem on a musical instrument are also welcome to show off their skills.

Two live auditions have been scheduled.

The first is taking place Saturday February 20th at Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis. The second is happening further south at Hanford Mall, in Hanford, on Saturday March 5th. Both auditions start at 11am and finish at 2pm.

Interested applicants need to fill out the audition form before taking part. You can find the form clicking here and they’ll need to be returned to the Grizzlies’ Kyle Kleiman – either at the front office at Chukchansi Park or email it to [email protected].
