FRESNO (KMJ) — A 19 year old, described as armed and dangerous, is now on the run in Fresno after he ran from a crime scene Wednesday morning.
Adell Vaughn has been identified as a passenger in a vehicle which undercover officers were following. They say he was with Miles Banks, who was being tailed after an earlier incident (details of that can be found clicking here). A warrant has been issued for his arrest for attempted murder.
Police say the two men in the car started firing at the officers, and when the vehicle they were in was forcibly stopped, Miles Banks remained in the driver’s seat and surrendered while Adell Vaughn fled. The nearby area was searched soon after the incident, but Vaughn is still unaccounted for.
“We do have an outstanding armed suspect”, says Police Chief Jerry Dyer. “I’m confident we’re going to be able to…apprehend him soon.”
Anyone who sees Adell Vaughn is asked to call 911 or CrimeStoppers on 498-STOP immediately, and to not approach or try to apprehend him.
