January 14, 2016 – FRESNO (KMJ) A secret gun range is discovered Thursday in Calwa.
Approximately 80 officers from several agencies participated in MAGEC (Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium) and were serving warrants at several different locations when one stood out.
On the 3800 block of East Laurite, MAGEC found a hole dug in a backyard where people were using guns for target shooting.
Neighbors had reported hearing gunfire in the past – but it wasn’t air soft guns – instead, real gunfire heard coming from a secret underground gun range.
The suspects used heavy blankets and mattresses to cover the hole and muffle the sound.
One person was arrested for felony drug and weapon charges.
