FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The latest field poll shows 50 percent of registered voters believe the Golden State is generally on the right track. That’s up 10 percentage point from May.

However, forty-two percent of voters feel California is going off the rails.

Pollsters say for many voters, the drought is no longer the monster it was — thanks to heavy rainfall — making them more optimistic.

A majority of voters approve of Governor Jerry Brown.

Although, many believe he’s favoring too many big government projects, which the state can’t afford.
