HANFORD (KMJ) — A valley woman who admitted to using her phone behind the wheel is now having to deal with a totaled car.
Hanford Police were called around 11am Sunday morning for a vehicle which had collided into a power pole close to the intersection of Hanford-Armona Road and 12th Avenue.
The driver told officers she veered off the street and collided with the pole while using her cell.
PG&E and Hanford Fire Department responded to the scene, as the van itself seemed to be holding the pole in place.
The driver received minor injuries in the crash and the vehicle was later towed from the scene.
