(KMJ) – December 28th, 2015 – The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says one person is dead and another is in custody following a shooting early Monday Morning.
Deputies say around 7:00am, they received a 911 call.
The caller said a guy at home on 1000 South Rogers Lane was going to kill himself and that there was someone already dead inside home.
Deputies heard a shot when they arrived.
Spokesperson Tony Botti says they forced their way into the home.
As soon as they got inside the house, they found a woman who had been shot to death and they also found a man which they believe to be their suspect. They were able to detain him, they recovered a firearm, they’ll be obviously taking a look at that to see if that was the gun that was used in this, ah, he didn’t cause any problems, he was taken into custody without any incident.” – Tony Botti, Spokesperson, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
The man is now at hospital for medical treatment and evaluation,
Botti says they are talking to witnesses see if there were prior calls for service.
He says both adults were known to each other – but he is not able to release word on their exact relationship.
