FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Helping those in need is not only a great measure of good character; a new study finds it can also help to reduce stress.
Researchers at the Yale University School of Medicine examined nearly 80 adults, who were between 18 and 44, over a period of 2 weeks.
They found that those who helped others on a day to day basis were often in a better mood, leading to less stress.
It’s typical to be more uptight during the holidays, but doing some good deeds could be the stress reliever you need.
