FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The nation’s most populous state now has an estimated 39.1 million residents, seeing an increase of about 346,000, between July of 2014 and July of 2015.
However, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Golden State isn’t quite as bright as it once was.
The State of Texas saw the biggest gain of residents during those months, brining its population to more than 27 million.
For the first time in almost a decade, Florida saw a bigger increase than California, pushing it’s population past 20 million.
