FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Numerous studies, saying essentially the same thing: California is bad for business.
However, according to a new report commissioned by the non-partisan organization Next 10, California actually ranks near the top of many key rankings for new-business expansion, and small-business growth.
It uses data from the U.S. Census Bureau, which shows that California is creating jobs faster than the national average.
While plenty of those positions are being created by existing businesses, many are by new firms.
Additionally, the state has seen a net positive domestic migration, of those who earn over $50,000 a year; most of those leaving earn less than that.
