MERCED (KMJ) — A man has been found dead by the side of the road in Merced.
Police made the discovery just after 4pm Saturday afternoon, on Santa Fe Avenue near the intersection with Glen Avenue.
Officers describe the man as Hispanic in his mid 20s and that he’d been at the side of the road for several hours after being involved in a hit and run.
Investigators identified the vehicle responsible as an early 90s silver or gray ford thunderbird two door coupe.
They say it should have severe damage to the front right hand side. An image of a similar car can be seen above.
