FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Nuts have long been considered good for your diet. The best of them are grown right here in the valley.
According to a new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, eating tree nuts, such as walnuts, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, by lowering total cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure.
Nuts contain several vital nutrients, such as unsaturated fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals.
