(KMJ) A deadly gas line rupture and explosion has killed one and injured others in Kern County. It’s an incident eerily similar to one that erupted in north Fresno a few months ago.
Kern County Fire officials say a piece of heavy equipment ruptured the line around 3:30 Friday afternoon near Wible & Houghton Roads, west of Hwy 99. The equipment operator died from injuries suffered in the explosion.
Three nearby residents suffered burns and were transported to local hospitals, but their house was burned to the ground.
