(KMJ) – Recall elections have replaced three trustees each in the Selma Unified and Golden Plains Unified School Districts.
The Selma recall effort was in response to the school board’s vote earlier this year to oust Superintendent Mark Sutton. There voters recalled school board members John Lorona, Roger Orosco and Gilbert Lopez .
At Golden Plains Unified, the voting backlash stems from the removal of Superintendent Jesus Cruz. In that district, voters ousted board members Richard Gonzalez, Luis Ramirez and Maria Gomez.
