(KMJ) – Fresno Police say 50-year old Rodolfo Barron robbed the Advance America Check Cashing business at 4195 E. Belmont on Friday, October 23rd.
Officers say Barron first entered the business, located at 4195 East Belmont Avenue, and tried to open up an account. In doing so, he provided the clerks with his actual California Driver’s License and Social Security Card.
When he was denied the account, Barron left the business and reentered with a screwdriver. He then pointed it at the clerks and told them that he would stab them if they didn’t give him money.
Barron drove off in his registered vehicle with over $1700 dollars in cash. His vehicle has been identified as a grey 4 door Chevrolet Malibu, CA license plate number 7MJC170.
Barron is currently on Parole for home invasion robbery and for selling PCP. He was just released from prison in November after serving 14 years.
Anyone with information on where he can be located is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP (7867) where you can remain anonymous and receive up to a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
