A press conference was to be held by Fresno educators who’ve said they have more evidence to support their accusations against the leadership of Fresno Unified – has been called off.
The FTA says they “need more time” and want to make sure they have all the facts.
Earlier this month, the Fresno Teacher’s Association called on the FUSD school board to take action against the district’s top leaders.
“We are asking the school board trustees to place Superintendent Hanson, Deputy Superintendent CFO Ruthie Quinto, and Chief Operations Officer Karen Temple on administrative leave until the conclusion of the investigation when the findings are made public.”
The FTA has said it had more evidence to support this call to action.
Teachers were to call a news conference for 12:30 today, but Mo Kashmiri from the Fresno Teachers Association says they will let us know when it is rescheduled, “if it is.”
Fresno Unified Superintendent Michael Hanson has said he and the district are cooperating fully with the on-going federal investigation.
The District and the FTA are currently in midst of contract negotiations.
