Fresno Police are looking for an armed robber who hit a recycling center – and may be responsible for an earlier carjacking.
On Tuesday, October 27th, at 8:17 am, Southwest patrol officers were dispatched to Kyle’s Recyclables, 2217 E. Belmont Avenue, regarding an armed robbery that just occurred.
After robbing the business, the suspect got into a green Ford Explorer and fled westbound in Belmont Avenue.
The victims told police the suspect walked up to the workers, pointed a handgun at them and demanded the business cash and their wallets.
After taking about $1,000 in cash and their wallets, at gunpoint, the suspect ordered the 4 victims into a large container and told them not to come out. The suspect the fled in the Explorer.
The suspect is described as a light completed Hispanic male with a thin build, 5’4″-5’6″ in height , wearing a plain black short sleeved shirt and blue jeans. He was armed with a silver /chrome “square ” semi – auto handgun.
The suspect vehicle was described as being in stock condition with a rear hatch spoiler.
It could be the same vehicle taken in a carjacking earlier this morning.
At 6:23 am, Southeast officers were dispatched to a carjacking in the 500 block of South Cedar Avenue – where a suspect of similar description, armed with a similar handgun, robbed the victim of his green Ford Explorer with California license plate #3NLR401.
This stolen Explorer has not been located and could possibly be the suspect vehicle in the robbery at Kyle ‘a Recyclables.
