Trainee Firefighters Wanted For Fresno Fire

FRESNO (KMJ) — Do you want to be a Firefighter? Well your luck is in as applications are now open for firefighter trainees with Fresno Fire.

The minimum requirement candidates need are

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Be at least 20 years of age to apply, and be 21 years of age and have a valid California driver’s license at time of appointment
  • Possess a current and valid EMT Certificate
  • Possess a California State Fire Marshal Firefighter 1 certification OR have completed a basic Fire Academy
  • Possess a current CPR card which meets American Heart Association Guidelines
  • And possess a current CPAT card prior to Fire Chief’s interview.

The benefits are:

  • A trainee annual salary of $53,088, then upgraded to a firefighter annual salary of between $58,992 and $75,336
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Vacation time
  • And a pension plan.
