FRESNO (KMJ) — Do you want to be a Firefighter? Well your luck is in as applications are now open for firefighter trainees with Fresno Fire.
The minimum requirement candidates need are
- High School diploma or GED
- Be at least 20 years of age to apply, and be 21 years of age and have a valid California driver’s license at time of appointment
- Possess a current and valid EMT Certificate
- Possess a California State Fire Marshal Firefighter 1 certification OR have completed a basic Fire Academy
- Possess a current CPR card which meets American Heart Association Guidelines
- And possess a current CPAT card prior to Fire Chief’s interview.
The benefits are:
- A trainee annual salary of $53,088, then upgraded to a firefighter annual salary of between $58,992 and $75,336
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Vacation time
- And a pension plan.
