FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — University of California President Janet Napolitano says she’s preparing a plan to significantly boost the number of California undergraduates, in the 2016-17 school year.

Napolitano has yet to give details of the proposal, or explain how it will meet the legislature’s mandates.

The state is offering a $25 million bonus, if the University of California increases the number of undergraduates by 5,000, amounting to about a 10% improvement.
