UPDATE: Deputies arrested Julia Galot, 43 (LEFT) and Elizabeth Ortiz, 34 (PICTURED RIGHT). The two sisters have been booked into the Fresno County Jail. They face possible charges of marijuana cultivation and intent to sell marijuana.
Two sisters are in custody after Fresno County Sheriff’s make a marijuana bust in Kingsburg.
Fresno County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team learned that there were two illegal pot plants growing on side of house on the 11200 block of East Kamm Avenue.
Deputies spoke to the two women inside – and smelled marijuana.
Spokesperson Tony Botti says they got a search warrant, and inside they found 12 pounds of dried, processed marijuana and a shotgun, and in the basement was an elaborate hydroponic system.
Botti says the sisters in their 30’s will face charges over sale and cultivation of the 800 plants discovered in the home.
