FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California voters feel that the state’s severe lack of water is an increasingly serious problem.

According to the latest Field Poll, more than 76% now describe the situation as extremely serious, compared to 66% back in May.

Majorities still believe residential and agricultural water users, are generally doing their part to help the state get through the drought.

However, they would like to see permanent landscaping changes, such as lawns being replaced with less thirsty plants.
